Tales From the Magical Alley(tm)

Ah, The Magical Alley. What is it, and how does it work?

Say you’re moving in the near future (like I am) and you need to dispose of some stuff. Some of this stuff may still be functional, but no longer needed by you. What does one do? Simple. Place it in the Magical Alley and *poof!* Your stuff disappears!

Everyone has one of these fantastical places at their disposal. I call it a Magical alley, you might call it your front curb. Suffice to say that the old adage is true: One person’s junk is someone else’s treasure. Let’s go over what happened today.

Before heading off to work this morning, I targeted these two items that I would definitely NOT be taking with me when I move at the end of the month

Exhibit A: A 3D Puzzle of the Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral – hours of fun on those cold winter nights.
Exhibit B:  A pair of crappy winter boots – ugly, warm, and stylishly pre-stained with road salt.

The Challenge: Which item is more coveted and who will be doomed to waste away in The Alley? Which would you choose?

Any bets?

Elapsed Time: 11 hours

The Loser: The crappy pair of winter boots!
Take my boots, please!

Well, both parties fought a valiant battle, but ultimately, puzzles are more fun than boots. The puzzle was still snatched even though there is a serious unknown variable: are all the pieces there?

Coming soon: A Magic Eye book vs a REALLY crappy pair of combat boots (what can I say, I have a lot of shoes)
