He's written a great many of my favorite books: <em>The Stand</em>, <em>The Talisman</em>, <em>Black House</em>, the entire <em>Dark Tower </em>series, <em>The Shawshank Redemption</em> (also one of my favorite movies of all time), <em>Misery</em>, <em>It</em>, <em>Carrie</em>, <em>Salem's Lot</em>, <em>The Shining</em>, <em>Hearts in Atlantis</em>, <em>The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon</em>, <em>The Green Mile</em>...I could go on. While <em>Under The Dome </em>is probably not in my top 20, I did enjoy it. What can I say? The Tommyknockers, Cell and Thinner notwithstanding, I love the man’s work. The next one of his books I read was The Stand, one of my all time favorite books, I have been a fan ever since but lately find his books are too long, too drawn out and basically the same story over and over again. I still love reading his books but I haven't been able to get through one in a couple of days in decades. The last one I read, I can't even remember the name, took me 8 months to read. I find I like his work from his drinking days better than his sober writing.
