What the hell is wrong with people? Have the majority of people in the world been raised by a pack of wolves?
Today I got up, got showered, got dressed, got in my car and got going to work. Along the way, I was cut off, not once, not twice but three times. The third time, the lovely lady who cut me off actually honked and waved her fist at me. I actually had the nerve to be in the lane she wanted to be in. I’m such a bitch.
So, I make it to the office. Relief. I enter the front doors and head to the elevator. The guy standing at the elevator looks at me, walks into the elevator and lets the door close. Presto, I am the invisible bitch.
At one point during this fabulous day, I call a supplier to find out about something the company had ordered. The very nice customer service lady is helpful and gives me plenty of information. I thank her profusely. She responds with “Uh huh” and hangs up. Has “you’re welcome” become politically incorrect overnight? How about “my pleasure”? “Sure thing”? “De nada”? “No f*cking prob, Bob”? The thought crossed my mind that she may have been the woman who cut me off and honked. No, not likely. I guess along with being a lane-hog and not elevator-worthy, I do not merit common courtesy. Sigh.
I finish my day, get back in my car and come home. Ahhh, safe haven. My 2 year old smiles and hugs me. I am visible again. He tells me he loves me. I am worthy again.
I do, however, remain a bitch
