Love For My Fellow Bloggers In A Totally Non-Slutty Way

Last week, WWFC was getting that warm, fuzzy feeling that only comes when you’ve received praise from your peers. (Ok, so it also comes when the cat on your lap pees, but that’s not what happened. This time.) We received our first award, and got quite a few mentions from various bloggers. Some of the things that were said about us were so incredibly sweet and flattering, we actually thought there might be another Nicky and Mike blog team out there. But, no, you guys were talking about us. To misquote Sally Fields: “You like us, you really, really like us!” To say this helped me get my mojo back would be a ridiculous understatement. Now I’d like to show my appreciation for some of the bloggers out there who don’t just make my day, they engage me, they inspire me, they teach me, they make me laugh, they make me think, they challenge me to be better and they keep me going. ‘Nuff said.

Jen over at Redheadranting is an amazing blogger, an amazing person. Jen created Tribal Blogs, a blogging supernetwork that is, hands down, the greatest thing since cheese. Go check it out. I can’t even begin to tell you how much she impresses me. She is funny, smart, talented, and generous. And she loves Canadians. I’m working on getting her a key to the country.

Jayne over at injaynesworld could have been a Supreme Court Justice. She would have been awesome at it, but I’m really, really glad she chose to write blogs instead of rulings. I don’t think she would have been able to mention her size 4 ass in a ruling. Unless “legal brief” means something completely different than what I thought? Introducing us to Cotswold won her a special spot in my heart, but in truth, her brilliant, thought-provoking, hilarious writing trumped the Cotswold. I admire her more than I can say.

What can I say about Linda over at The Good, The Bad, The Worse? I adore her. When I think of Linda, I immediately envision myself arriving at her home unannounced, intending to surprise her with my visit, only to find her in her garden, Harry at her feet, with 2 glasses of wine and a lovely cheese platter. Then she says “There you are. We’ve been waiting for you!”

Man Over Board is a great site, and girl friendly, despite the name! Glenn finds the funniest videos, pictures and stories. And he hates the iPad almost as much as I hate the iPhone! Everytime I visit, I never know what to expect, and I’m never disappointed.

Momma Mia, Mea Culpa is a lovely spot I like to park myself when I need to laugh so hard I pee. Meleah makes the ordinary hilarious. She does things differently , which is downright inspiring, and provides tons of great advice based on experience, often unfortunate experience. She always puts a smile on my face.

Ziva’s Inferno is almost as hot as Ziva herself. I’ve openly declared my crush on her. It appears Captain Kirk is not the only Canadian to dig green chicks. She is brilliant and beautiful and makes me want to visit Finland. Yes, she’s that good! Our daily conversations all over the blogosphere are high points of my day. Along with her cookies and her Chernobyl Chicken.

MikeWJ from Too Many Mornings is an incredibly gifted writer. I know this is going to make his skeletal head inflate, but it is the honest truth. From love story to alien invasion, MikeWJ always weaves a brilliant tale that completely hooks me. He is clever, quick-witted, and creative. He is the very definition of wordsmith. And he is, undisputedly, the Comment King. You’ll come for the posts, you’ll stay for the comments.

And, of course, I couldn’t write about my favourite bloggers without mentioning the 2 men I share WWFC with. Besides being funny, talented and my best friend, Mike is also the foundation of WWFC. He deals with all the back-end stuff (is it just me, or does that sound sleazy?) which I can’t even begin to tell you how much I appreciate. His stories about his grandmother are my favourites. Jepeto absolutely slays me. The boy has no filter between his brain and his mouth (or his keyboard). I have the honour of reading/editing  his random thoughts before they are published to our site, and I always, always laugh my ass off. His girlfriend definitely deserves a medal for putting up with him.

Well, that’s it I guess. I know I’ve left out a quite a few people like Ratty, Rena, Frank, and Rod. And so many more. Please know that it’s only because I had to cut myself off at some point or we may just run out of internet. Thanks again for the love. It’s more than a dancing purple avatar with red sunglasses could have hoped for.
