Here’s something food and cheese related to tide you over until we bombard this space with photographs for 30 days starting April 1st.
Yes, cheese prices are still retarded over here, but my Old Europe style cheese/butcher/chocolate/coffee/bakery has some kick ass specials every week so I got a huge block of Havarti and a nice slab of some Double Gloucester for like 5 bucks. And a fresh baguette too.
AND since the cheese was so cheap, it offset the artisanal black beer sausage that I treated myself to. Yes, handmade no preservative sausage is pretty awesome. And the stuff is locally produced, so I guess that’s a bonus.
Sounds like a sandwich to me.
Cram all of this stuff in a fresh baguette or whatever bread you decide to use:
Havarti
Double Gloucester
Black Beer sausage
Lettuce scraps
Honey Dijon mustard
Grind some black pepper over the whole thing for the hell of it.
Now eat it:
