Mirror to Mirror

Nicky – Objects in mirror are closer than they appear? Not the way I drive.

  • Oh! I love them both! TIE!!!! Mike – I tried to do something like that.. but couldn’t make it work. BRAVO. And Nicky – I actually had the Barbie car up to photograph her fake side view mirror. Great ideas – and yours both look awesome.

  • Mike: Oooh, like a fun house mirror.

Nicky: Oooh, not like a fun house mirror ;). Actually, I thought of doing something similar with a rearview mirror, but then opted not to…I’m glad I didn’t. It would have been hard to compete with your humor. 🙂

  • Mike…I am so confused…a mirror in the mirror of a mirror????  Very interesting pic.
Nicky…I see no dead bodies, no crash debris and no leveled buildings, therefore I pronounce:
                                                       You are a GOOD driver
                                                        and a good photographer

  • Nicky

And by tie, you mean I win, right? 🙂 Thanks Kristen!

  •  And by my humor, you mean my awesome photography skills, right? 🙂

  •  Thanks, Cheryl! I’m actually not a bad driver, but I do admit to being an impatient driver with a lead foot. I love to drive fast!

  • Um….yeah, yeah, of course, exactly! 🙂

  • Um…no, I think she means Mike wins. 🙂

  • Mike – that kicks ass! Wow.

Nicky – awesome, girl! I love how you cropped this PERFECTLY too!

  • Mike- I love it!! The angles especially.
Nicky – Love yours too! But I’m not driving anywhere with you!

  • Thanks, but why not? I promise to be very careful when you’re in the car with me. Or somewhat careful. Look, I promise not to traumatize you. Much.

    Ok, never mind.

  •  Thanks! I’m glad you noticed!! It took me a dozen tries before I got it just right.

  • I find the two of you incredibly fascinating. Such different shots. Hilariously so, but both very good. Nicky were you parking while photographing? What’s your license number?

  • You did AWESOME

  • Mike, that is one fantabulous shot! If your window was clean it would detract from this in a HUGE way.

Nicky, you don’t happen to live anywhere near the northeastern part of the US, do you? PleaseSayNo PleaseSayNo, PleaseSayNo.

  • Ah, Mad Dog, we Canadians are known to be a fascinating people. No, the picture was taken while the car was parked in my driveway. And my license number is TRY2CATCHM5 🙂

  • I’m actually only a few hours away. Did I mention I love to drive? Was that an invitation to visit you? PleaseSayYes, PleaseSayYes, PleaseSayYes. 🙂

  •  Um… no, I think she means I win! 🙂

  •  Thought so 🙂

  •  Thank you! xoxo

  • Mike, this is such a fascinating shot, great job!

Nicky, we need to go on a road trip together! Ohh, or race each other!

  • Mike:  I love that shot, but you wouldn’t catch me holding a mirror with no frame on it – I HATE glass!

Not being a driver I don’t quite understand this – but I can guess 😉

  •   Oooooh, a race!! Ok. C’mon over. Bring your car. 🙂

  • Mike: that’s an amazing picture. I’m still trying to figure out how you did it.

Nicky: Don’t you think that’s an amazing picture that Mike took?

  • Mikewj

Mike, your photo is fascinating, a geometric jumble. I like how you think.

Nicky, I tore the mirrors off my car. Because what’s behind me, isn’t in front of me. I like how you think, too.

  •  Not a driver?! You don’t know what you’re missing Babs!

  •  Yup. Almost as amazing as mine, Dufus.

  •  It’s so nice to be appreciated for my mind.

  • CheesyMike:  That’s a great photo (even without the Windex).

Nicky:  The purpose of rear view mirrors is the view of the rears, but I guess Brad Pitt wasn’t in town.

  • I did learn to drive many years ago but let it lapse when I moved. In later years, Mo wasn’t keen on me driving on the more dangerous roads (neither was I) so that was that 🙂

  • With much trepidation, I’m tossing out an open invitation to come visit. ‘Course you’ll have to park your car and let me drive you around. Just how far away is ‘only a few hours?’ If you’re a lead-foot like me, that could mean just about anything within a 500 mile radius.

  • Thanks, Double-O!

  • Thanks, Cheryl! I’ll hold off on the Windex purchase in that case!

  • Nope, just 1 mirror in a mirror which makes….infinity mirror!

    (I’m digging the cheerleading :))

  • Thanks, Mike. It’s funny though, but I guess because I took the picture,it actually seems orderly to me.

  •  We’re in Montreal. Just up the road from you, we’re practically neighbours 🙂

  • Nicky, I love that one.  So gothic and a real contrast to Mike’s ultra-modern image.  I’ve perused all of them and you’re both doing great.  Clever, fun, imaginative.   Although, I do miss Dobs…

  •  Oh he’ll be back 🙂

  •  Thanks, Jayne! You’ve almost given me the will to continue 🙂

  • Holy crap! We are. Now what?
