My Favourites

I know, you’re all sick of hearing, reading, and seeing anything to do with our recently completed 30 Days of Photographs challenge. I understand. I sympathize. I feel your pain.

And I’m going to post yet again about it, regardless. Because I love you and am a big believer in whatever doesn’t kill you makes you not dead.

So, without further ado, here are my favourite photos taken by the other bloggers who went insane with this challenge  – in no particular order:

peeled banana

I really don't like bananas all that much, but Dozo mentioned it was awkward. I have a soft spot for awkward bananas.

Cheryl absolutely blew my mind with this photo. It's unbelievable gorgeous. And the bonus? It's not a bird!

Dufus did a fantastic job with this one. I love the angle and that fantastic blue sky. A blue sky, I might add, that isn't in Colorado and wasn't enhanced. Because I've heard some people do that.

Mariann took this shot and I love the reference she made to the alien eye thingy from the movie The War Of The Worlds (the original!!).

Katherine made me laugh with this one! Too funny and I think Katherine's gorgeous.

Kristen's photo and the post that went with it were inspiring.

Liz took this shot and I love all the black and chrome and the bling on her finger.

Laughing Mom completely touched my heart with this photo of her father's hands. Beautiful.

This photo of Meleah's is outstanding and majestic and reminded me of the tree of Gondor in the Lord Of The Rings movie except bigger. And real, of course.

MikeWJ knows the way to my heart. The red shoes on her feet guaranteed this photo's placing first with me.

My co-blogger Mike took a whole whack of amazing photos. But this one is candy. Candy always wins. Unless shoes are involved.

I really don't know why this is my favourite of Mo's pictures. I mean, yes it's fantastic, but ALL of his little critter shots were fantastic. Hmmmm. Maybe it's the cape?

I loved Nora's creativity and determination to use cats in each and EVERY photo. This photo perfectly illustrates that.Plus she's hawt.

This photo of Malisa's is adorable beyond words. Seriously. He'll never live it down!

Tanya took a bunch of amazing photos, but none were shoes, so the candy won again.

I really love the watery effect of Bryan's fish photo, as well as all the hues of blue.

Ziva. Oh, Ziva. It's not weird that I've wallpapered every room in my house with this photo - including the floor and ceiling - is it?

And now I promise not to post another word (or picture) about our 30 Days of Photographs II.

Until it’s time for 30 Days of Photographs III, of course. Which starts tomorrow*. See you there?
*No, it doesn’t really start tomorrow.

P.S. There was another participant to this challenge, albeit an unofficial one. Cheryl P. posted pictures everyday here at WWFC, in the comment section, to cheer us on. Thank you Cheryl, for all the support and for being here every single day with a new, personalized picture. Here is my favourite one:

She made a special trailer for my shoes. It's not shoes, but it's about shoes, therefore it wins. 🙂

  • A very nice representation, Nicky. Those lips of Ziva’s remind me of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. “Don’t dream it. Be it.”

  • This. Rocks.

As did Cheryl. Some of her stuff was a better fit than our pictures.

  • I love youuuuu! 😀

Some of the ones you picked were my favs too…and some I actually missed, so I loved this. I laughed at the red shoes….it was NO surprise those were in there!

  • Maybe you guys are sick of the photos but I think they are terrific!

  • Why thank you Nicky, that was fun for me too.  I can’t believe that one was your favorites as it was the one that took the very least effort, not that any of them took that much effort.  (thank you to the other Cheryl as well…what a sweet thing to say)

  • absolutely fabulous! xoxoxo

  •  Thanks, Dufus! They are a little Rocky Horror-ish, aren’t they? Well at least Ziva doesn’t look like Tim Curry in drag! 🙂

  •  Thanks, Cheryl! I’m glad you like it. Cheryl P. is amazing and a sweetheart, no doubt about it!

  • Aw, thanks Katherine! Right back atchya 🙂

To my credit, he red shoes picture, besides being about shoes, is a fabulous picture. But yeah, it’s the shoes. 🙂

  • Aw, Annie! Thanks, and I’m really, really happy that we haven’t bored you to tears with this!

  • Was that the best one you made or the most complex? No. But it is my favourite because you made it just for me and my shoes. That’s the equivalent of lassoing the moon for me, Cheryl! You were a great sport during the whole month, my friend. Both Mike and I really appreciated it.

  •  Thanks, sweet thing, but you guys deserve the credit! All I did was post them. 🙂

  • <3

  • Ha! I almost choked on my coffee this morning when I saw the banana, thinking to myself what’s that doing up there again?  Thanks, Nicky!

And an extended kudos to Cheryl P. for her posters!  (Personally I would have thought taking pictures would be easier than doing all of that, but they were fun.)

  • The photos are all fantastic. The challenge brought out many different perspectives on the themes.  Everyone did a great job.

  •  Is this good or bad?

  • Well, you know, Ziva, bad can be very, very good sometimes!

  • I really like the way your mind works, my dear dufus.  😉

  • I’m just glad I remember how to use it, at my age. My mind, that is.

  • Nicky, brilliant choices! Can I say. I love your priorities. Shoes, candy and me. You are one smart lady. And hot, too. I need a banana.

  • To me it seems like you know how to use it very well… Your mind, that is.

  • mikewjattoomanymornings

No, it’s not weird that you’ve wallpapered your room with Ziva’s lips. Of course, I had her lips imprinted onto my bed sheets and boxer shorts, so maybe I’m not the best judge of what’s appropriate.

Anyway, I’m glad you liked my photo of the woman in the red-hot shoes. Let me know if you’d like me to get it printed on some bed sheets for you. I could have it done full size, which would make crawling under the covers more interesting.

  • mikewjattoomanymornings

    *pulls up a comfortable chair*

  • How cool are you to shout out to all your photo-challenged friends. Wait, that didn’t come out right. But you know what I mean.

  • Hahahaha! I don’t know about cool, but I was definitely the photo-challenged one of the gang, Mags. And you know what I mean!! 🙂

  • Well, I’m relieved to know I’m not weird. Or at least, not weirder than you. I’m curious, how does Kerry feel about your newly decorated boxers and sheets?

You knew when you took the picture I would love it. I think I’ll pass on the bedsheets, however. I think that with Ziva’s lips everywhere, the shoes would just prove to be overkill.

  •  *kicks Mike’s chair out of the way*

You need a banana? It just so happens I’ve got a banana…

  • Thanks, Linda! It really was a lot of fun, even when it wasn’t! And I agree, they all did a wonderful job.

  • My pleasure Dozo! Sorry that I made you choke on your coffee, though!

  • Mikewj

Oh my, do you think Kerry will mind? I mean, how does your dear, committed Jepeto feel about your new Ziva Lips wall, floor and ceiling paper? Not to mention that “awkward banana” you’ve got waiting for her?

  • Mikewj

    *lies on the floor, contentedly*

  •  I could come over and wear the shoes for you, or would that be overkill, too?

  • What I think we should do now, is combine Nicky’s lovely wallpaper with Mike’s bed sheets, and we’d have the perfect room. Maybe a nice lampshade with my lips on it, curtains, too, and a rug. Oh, and a straitjacket for me, because I’d probably lose my mind pretty quickly.

  •  Delicious…

  • No. That would not be overkill. At all. Ever. Please.

    When shall I expect you?

  • Mikewj

    *falls out of his chair*

    *hell, falls off the floor*

  • I’m not sure how Jepeto feels about it. He hasn’t said anything, he’s just been drilling strategic holes in the walls, floor and ceiling. And he’s the one who bought the banana.

  •  *steps on your face, contentedly*

  •  Mmmmm….

  •  Oh, don’t bother with the straitjacket, Lemmikki. I’ll… um… restrain you if the need arises.

  • Mikewj

Holes, huh? Glory be, that Jepeto’s one wild guy.

  • Mikewj

*so many jokes here, all of them exceptionally rude*

  • It was a fun month. I kind of wish I’d taken part. Maybe next time 🙂

  •  Perv 🙂

  • Oh yeah, he’s a real animal.

  •  Oh, I hope you do, Babs! We’d love to have you join!

  • Nicky, you know exactly what I want to hear.. I’m on my way over right now.

  • I’m coming.
