Heart – 30 Days of Photos Day 26

I’ve been trying to come up with something for “Heart” all morning when I suddenly realized that this tree in my backyard makes heart shaped leaves. Thanks, nature! Now give me something for “Kafkaesque”. Please!!

Why won’t this 30 Days of Photos challenge just “leave” me alone. Curses on you both —-> Ziva and Mike WJ.

Hahaha! Hope your wish comes true. Nice photo!

  • What a lovely pretty, soft and romantic photo, Mike. I’m surprised you didn’t make it sepia.

  • Danielle

What a beautiful choice. Love the background flowers also.

  • Your backyard has just been handing you the material for these photos! Maybe if you stand out there long enough, something Kafkaesque will fall out of the sky for you!

  • Mother nature comes through again! I love her!

  • Mother Nature is doing you proud on this challenge!

You’ve fallen in love with somebody, haven’t you? No self-respecting man takes this sort of photo unless he’s recently had his heart melted, he’s gay or he watches a lot of home-decorating shows. Come clean, CheesyMike.

You have a great eye for finding Nature’s heart. Looks great against the lovely leafy background too.

  • If I sepia-ed that thing I would definitely have thrown up. 100%

  • Thanks!

  • It’s from the lilac bush. I think.

  • The “flowers” are actually the leaves which were previously seen in such prompts as “nails” and “bullshit”.

  • The only thing falling back there are leaves and the longer I stand out there, the more I’m reminded that I’m going to have to pick them all up at some point.

  • I’m not so sure. I’m going to have to start raking up all that heart shaped crap pretty soon.

  • She definitely helping on some level!

  • Actually, the green leaves represent the jealous hearts of men, while the red leaves in the background, in their advanced state of decay, represent their destiny: to be lifeless and withering on a vine, waiting only for the cold wind of winter to deal its final blow.

    Didn’t anyone get that?

  • You’d think so, but it all just means that winter could be as early as 2 weeks away.

  • Whom are you jealous of, dear Mike?

  • We find and take our prompts where we can get them.

love this. looks just like a heart.

  • I almost went with a leaf too. I think we have some kind of weird telepathy going on or maybe it’s just an ever increasing apathy.

  • Oh I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this! Nature is my favorite thing.. and finding nature’s secrets like this never gets old!

  • Great photo!! Beautiful tree!
