Video – 30 Days of Photos – Day 25

Oops…I used sepia by mistake.

But seriously, nothing says ‘love’ quite like viewing the local porn theatre through a glorious, romantic sepia filter.

Also, I hear they switched to digital video from film a while back. But that’s just what I hear.

  • I really like this photo – even though you used Sepia!

  • I guess they’re not showing a science-fiction double-feature at the Cinema L’Amour.

  • Sepia aside, I like the photo! Is that where you go for a romantic Monday night date? Certainly for a cheap date….

  • Pat Kumicich

I think I saw Barbie walk into the theater … I can’t be sure because she was wearing dark glasses and eating M&Ms

  • Love the Love Cinema! Let the video begin…

  • I assume you know nothing about the VIP Section either, right? (Great take on this nutty prompt. Love your photo.)

  • Ohhh Mike! You didn’t! You took a perfectly great and beautiful and romantic photo and unleashed the sepia monster on it. You’re going to have to be punished, you know that, right? Severely. At length.

Personally I like sephia! 🙂 Nice shot!

  • Cinema L’amour, huh??? What a perfectly romantic spot, I am sure!

  • mikewjattoomanymornings

Yeah, that was her all right. She enjoyed the movie, too.

  • mikewjattoomanymornings

    Sigh

  • mikewjattoomanymornings

Not as cheap as you might expect.

I love the guy in the long coat stalking the woman. He even looks like he’s about to pop it open.

    Great photo, Mike.

Also, the photo makes me wonder how places like this stay in business given what I’VE HEARD is available for free on the Internet? Is their popcorn really that good?

  • ladyV

yes! good job on the sepia. there is a place for it in photography and you found it.

  • MalisaHargrove

I’m glad you hit sepia. That is an awesome photo!

  • Danielle Batog

    Can’t beat Pat’s post…now that was funny!

  • A private section for couples? EWWWW I don’t wanna go on THOSE seats!

  • I used to work near a place that had a theater like this adjacent to a post office. They shared the same parking lot, so mail truck were always out front. As I recall, we used to buy a lot of stamps.

  • Thanks! It actually took longer to figure out how to do the sepia thing than to take the pic.

  • Probably not, but you never know.

  • This is going to be terrible!

  • All I know is that I pass this place on a weekly basis. It’s the neighborhood’s seediest landmark.

  • Thanks!

  • Definitely not the best spot for a first date, or any date actually.

  • Haha…they’re actually walking together, but of the 4 or 5 shots I took, that one worked the best. It does bug me that I cut off the “C” a bit.

That’s a great question that I don’t have an answer to. I’m also pretty adventurous when it comes to food, but porn theatre popcorn….I think I’ll pass.

  • Thanks, and it was kind of a fluke actually!

  • Thank you.

  • Oh she won the day with that one alright!

  • I wouldn’t even want to touch the door handle.

  • Clearly she didn’t try the popcorn.

  • I can see it: “Going for a stamp run. Back in 2 hours!”

  • Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
