I Dealt With It

By the time you read this, I’ll be gone.

Let’s rephrase that.

By the time you read this I’ll be waking up and getting ready to go skiing in Vermont for the day.

Scratch that. Some of you people are early risers

By the time you read this, I’ll probably be trying to figure out where I left my passport. You can’t drive to the States these days without a passport.

No wait. I’m much more unprepared than that.

By the time you read this I’ll probably be late and looking for *misplaced warm thing* which I’ll need so as not to freeze off hand/toes/ears/face (this planet ain’t big enough for 2 faceless wonders)

Ok, that sounds about right.

Now all I have to do is deal with Day 26 of 30 Minus 2 Days of Losing Our Minds, schedule it to post and we’re done.

————————————-

What did everyone else have to say for Day 26, i.e, Deal With It? Go find out.

  • Lucky you. When I started skiing in my 40s, the first time since my high school years, I started on the “bunny hill” and the only method I was able to perform was “the snow plow”. These days all I’m good for is a walk in the snow.

I’m not allowed to ski or do anything which involves possibly ever falling and hitting my head and/or cutting myself as I’m on blood thinners. The only thing I’m allowed to do, exercise wise, are walking and swimming. I don’t think I’m allowed to have sex, either…so there are some benefits to taking Warfarin.

And I can’t find the doohickey link thingy to post up my “Deal With It” post. Perhaps I have to deal with it?

I found it. I think I might be first again. Woohooo! I’m such a dork.

  • I have your ski gloves. I’m holding them hostage and you’re not getting them back until you’ve promised you’ll be back tomorrow with the story of the Las Vegas part of your road trip.

  • Keep warm and don’t freeze anything off. Everything you’ve got is certainly worth keeping! Have fun!

  • Have fun skiing! And say, “HI” to my parents for me, they are in VT skiing right now too.

  • Be safe and have fun. Don’t forget anything especially things that keep you from freezing.

  • Have a good time and stay warm!

  • Good grief! How much of your skiing gear did you forget?! Indigo

  • Did you deal with them ripping your car to pieces at the border?

  • As PJ said… did you? 🙂

I’m stunned to learn they have skiing in Vermont. I live in Colorado, and Vermont seems so flat from here.

  • Come to Montreal and you’ll laugh when you see the “mountain” that dominates our skyline.

  • I picked it up recently after not skiing for many years. It wasn’t quite like riding a bike, but I’m getting a little better.

  • Wait, that’s a benefit?

  • Clearly I used my backup ski gloves, so your ploy didn’t stop me from skiing. One more day to go. Will I deliver?

  • Thanks! It was actually quite warm and pleasant, although you would probably still consider it freezing 🙂

  • The odds that we ended up at the same mountain are actually not that crazy!

  • It worked out all according to plan. Success 🙂

  • Thanks! I did and I did!

  • Amazingly, nothing after all that 🙂

  • Whenever I travel alone I get harassed but this time I used the Jedi mind trick on the guy. Smooth sailing.

  • I got off lucky this time 🙂

  • I KNOW!! If you see a dude that looks like Tony Bennett, ask him if his name is Ron Colonna!
