Photo Challenges

Today is Day 8 of the 30 Days of Photographs IV challenge (aka Bob) hosted by Ziva and MikeWJ and the prompt is Texture.

I made the most delicious cream cheese muffins. I sprinkled a little raw sugar on top before baking, to get a sweet, crunchy top covering the soft, rich inside. I love the contrasting textures. Oh, and I made them even better by adding chocolate chips to the batter. Everything is better with chocolate. Even cheese.

Now wipe the drool off your chin and go visit Ziva’s blog to see who else has participated.

  • Why do all you wonderful cooks and bakers live so far away? There’s something terribly wrong with a world where none of you is living in my house. Couldn’t you have at least taken a lousy picture so I wouldn’t be feeling quite so bereft?

  • Unfortunately, when you reach a certain age, you can’t eat foods like that anymore, without it settling on your waist, or thighs, in my case 🙂 Oh, the yummy foods I miss!

  • mikewjattoomanymornings

That’s one of the oddest confections ever. I want one.

    No, two.

  • mikewjattoomanymornings

Is “two coffees to go” a euphemism for something amazing? Because that’s a lot of money for a dozen muffins and some coffee.

  • What’s so odd about it? And you’d better hurry if you want two.

  • They’re delish, Katherine!

  • Well, to be honest, the coffees are only a couple of dollars. It’s the muffinsthat are pricey.

  • MalisaHargrove

And you didn’t call me when you popped these in the oven? What the heck is wrong with you? They sound delicious and look delicious. I just want to lick that texture on the top. Yum!
