They’ll Stone You When You Try To Write A Post

It was the summer. I was a teenager. We had pizza. And what happened next is a COMPLETE WORK OF FICTION. Really. Not a single line of truth in any of it.

starry night

Sitting out on the lawn at night
watching the stars
For a really, really, reeeeeeeaalllllly long time
“wow,” he says
“yeah,” I say

“wow,” he says
“yeah,” I say

“yeah,” he says
“wow,” I say

“the stars,” I say
“I know,” he says

“They’re everywhere,” I say
We’re everywhere,” he says

“Shut. Up.” I say in disbelief
And he does
And we sit there for quite a while longer
Then he takes my hand and we go inside
Dylan is playing on the stereo
And a rainbow
Dances around the room

Welcome to Day 9 of the Second Third Annual 30 Minus 2 Days of Writing. Today’s prompt was Dylan and it was brought to you by Bob’s college roommate and the King of Punny , NoName Dufus.
